For this project, I was contracted by TDBricks himself to create an outro animation resembling the Netflix intro. TD Bricks is a very popular Lego content creator on YouTube. He has gained a massive following of 4 million subscribers at the time of writing this. The video that he included this animation is called “1 minute LEGO HACKS...” The video appeared on trending for numerous hours showing my animation to millions of new and returning viewers. I hope to continue to work with them on more animation work in the future! Here is a link to the video if you are curious about TDBricks’ work as well as my own!
TD Bricks Logo and Animation
Development
All of the work that was done for this project was in Adobe Illustrator and Adobe After effects. I created the logo within Illustrator and then linked it over to After Effects to animate the logo and add in any extra effects, such as the bright lights. TDBricks originally wanted a 3D animation made with either Maya or Blender, but 2D simply looks cleaner and better. It also matched the 2D design of the original Netflix animation. Overall, there were many version changes, and the final animation is what satisfied the client. You can view this animation either through the video player within this webpage or visit the link above to watch the whole video!
Reception
After were confirmed the animation was confirmed, TDBricks edited his video together to incorporate my animation into the video. The reception his video got was overwhelmingly positive. As of writing, he has gotten 10 million views and 72k likes. This gave my animation a lot of viewers and exposure. I am in talks with TDBricks about continuing to create and develop more media content with him. Check back on this webpage to see any more updates!
